**Introduction**:
**Our client is supporting fitment projects and the integration of Electronic Train Control Systems into old steam and diesel engine trains.**

**They are looking for someone who has experience working on similar projects and can coordinate the** integration of all associated projects, including procurement and assurance as required and includes accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

The Programme Manager is accountable for the overall integrated delivery of the outcomes and is responsible for the performance of the programme’s team.

**This is a hybrid role with expectations of travel between London and York and remote working the rest of the time.**

**Key responsibilities**:
**Delivery Leadership**:

- Drive the alignment of delivery within the sector to the programme’s Critical Success Factors baseline and key integration points.
- Develop robust monitoring strategies to ensure ongoing deliverability and adherence.
- Support the delivery embedment of the programme partnership model within the sector, working closely with leadership within the operators and supply chain.
- Manage the performance of the programme against the baseline, including scope, cost, quality and RADIO.
- Ensure constructive and robust engagement with Sector partners at all levels within the programme.
- Ensure all parties within the Sector are aware of their safety obligations.
- Identify any potential integration issues.
- Review technical and commercial issues with the Industry Partners.
- Active management of risks across the Sector impacting delivery of programme outcomes.
- Delivery of the Sectors scope to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, and safely, in accordance with the programme plan to meet the requirements the rail sector.

**Skills & experience**:

- Strong Railway industry knowledge, including the legislative framework in which the industry operators.
- Proven leadership and influencing skills to ensure motivation and progress.
- Experience with, and strong competencies in leading, planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes of similar size and complexity.
- Experience in dealing with complex benefit-led transformational programmes involving multiple organisations.
- Familiarity with MSP programme management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
