**Park Keeper - Stunning Gardens**

**Start**: ASAP

**Based - **West Ham, London

**Pay**: £16.53 per hour

**Hours Of Work**:Shift pattern earliest start 1pm latest finish 10pm. May weekends and Bank holidays only. 7 day cover in summer. Temporary contract.

**Job Role and Responsibilities**

To assist in ensuring that the Gardens in the park are maintained and overseen to the highest possible standards in accordance with the Management Plan for the enjoyment, recreation, and safety of visitors.
- Provide a visible staff presence in the Ornamental Gardens to educate and advise the public, ensuring they understand and comply with the byelaws.
- Respond to incidents in the Ornamental Gardens, liaising with the public and emergency services as necessary.
- Assist the public to ensure they enjoy the facilities safely.
- Foster effective communication with the public to enhance their visit.
- Litter pick the Gardens, ensuring all litter is recycled where possible.
- Conduct general grounds maintenance to achieve high standards of horticulture and presentation.
- Write reports on any incidents in the Gardens to maintain accurate records.
- Undertake safe working practices to comply with current regulations and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures.

- Strong communication skills for interacting with the public and team members.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to handle incidents calmly and efficiently.
- Commitment to health and safety practices.
- A proactive approach to implementing organisational policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to undertake various duties as required.
