**Main Purpose**:
To maximise the groups safety and quality when delivering site based works through proactive leadership and visibility.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To primarily work under instruction of Industrial GM, while demonstrating managerial behaviours in leading others to achieve company goals.
- Ensure Site organisation is compliant with company standards, while adhering to client policies and procedures
- Provide leadership and technical support to assigned sites to meet site project requirements and operation and maintenance objectives.
- Act as focal point for industrial group site services.
- Advise client on improvement and optimisation opportunities

**Technical**:

- Work pack and work scope procedure development, review and formalisation for use in specific complex project delivery
- Lead high-level reviews, with relevant Subject Matter Experts prior to final issue, to ensure that the project workpack contains all the relevant instructions, procedures, drawings etc to enable the activity to be completed in conjunction with the organisation’s safe working practices.
- Schedule and mobilise manpower and equipment associated with project

activities.
- Ensure all spares and equipment are specified, purchased, stored and issued in

accordance with project requirements
- Act as focal point for industrial group site services
- Setting standards and expectations for project teams to follow from introduction at pre-mob briefs to validation and verification of work execution through direct witnessing
- Provide onsite technical guidance and mentoring to all on-shore supervisors, technicians and residents in delivering client and Sparrows expectations of Right First Time delivery.
- Direct team to complete and record maintenance and repair activities in accordance with work schedules, client standards, and approved maintenance strategies.
- Ensure that project objectives are communicated regularly to team Members to take into account individual, team and organisational changes.
- Act as focal point for technical queries and review any proposed modifications or changes that may arise.
- Maintain awareness of technology developments to support Sparrow’s service provision to clients

**Business Promotion**:

- Contribute to the establishment sales effort, through direct client contact and meetings, with particular focus on target customers as defined within the establishment business plan.
- Contribute to quarterly performance reviews with line management regarding the department's services to enable accurate review of business unit performance.
- Undertaking visits to client site or client premises to promote and maintain effective communications with Client representatives and Sparrows personnel.

**Site Acceptance Engineering**:

- Proportion of the role will involve aspects of Site Acceptance Engineering, encompassing, but not limited to, the following:

- Ability to hand over equipment that has been repaired, replaced or on which some form of maintenance activity has taken place
- Ability to confirm that equipment is ready to return to service
- Ability required to set up equipment and ensure that the equipment is ready for operation before handover
- Ability required to highlight any new, current or changed operating features of the equipment and to inform the appropriate person of any future maintenance requirements.

**Development**:
The role requires a pro-active approach to mentoring assigned Graduate and Project Engineers, site technicians and site supervisors with respect to the following aspects:

- Job and enquiry set-up and control.
- Support the competency and personal development of technicians in gaining qualifications by carrying out onsite coaching and assessments in line with company policies and procedures.
- The incumbent should ensure that subordinates are helped to perform their jobs effectively and have the learning opportunities through which their abilities and potential can be developed.

**Skills / Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- HND/HNC within a relevant discipline, or time served with 5+ years hands on experience within a relevant trade.
- Offshore/Onshore Site experience
- Excellent communication skills to enable effective liaison with clients, vendors and

other members of staff.
- Effective in dealing with commercial and management aspects of the role
- Careful and meticulous professional, and a motivated self-starter
