Aberdare, United Kingdom The Duke of Edinburgh Award Full time

**Fixed Term Contract**: 3 years

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a world leading youth charity which gives young people the chance to develop skills for life and work.

We believe that anything is possible, and the possibilities are endless. The positive effects of the DofE are proven and far-reaching. Communities are enriched with passionate and driven volunteers, businesses benefit from work-ready, competent recruits and young people are given the confidence to shine.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and effective team player to help us to give more young people from across Wales the chance to take part in the DofE, particularly those from diverse and marginalised backgrounds.

You will be creating new and growing existing partnerships with Voluntary, Community and Statutory (CVS) youth work organisations, Wales wide, as well as having responsibility for managing a portfolio of existing partners in Ceredigion.

You will be home based, but there will be a mix of face to face and online interactions and, as the role has a Wales wide remit you’ll need to be prepared to travel and stay overnight on occasions, sometimes weekends.

Whilst you won’t be working directly with young people, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a positive impact on their opportunities.

The DofE Award is a game-changer. We know that perseverance and passion for long-term goals is linked to success in education, life and work. Our structured programme of volunteering, physical and skills-based challenges inspire, guide and support young people to achieve.

**_ A full job description can be viewed below._**

We offer excellent staff benefits including a generous pension contribution, flexible working and an employee assistance programme.

Closing Date: 31st August - Midnight

First Interviews: 7th September - To be held virtually.

Second interviews 13th September to be face to face in Brecon.

The DofE are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. All successful applicants will be required to undergo a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. (e.g. DBS/PVG or similar), including 2 years work/Education references covering any gaps of employment, confirm eligibility to work in the UK and complete a health check.

**Cytundeb Cyfnod Penodol**: 3 blynedd

Mae Gwobr Dug Caeredin (DofE) yn elusen sy’n flaenllaw yn fyd-eang, sy’n rhoi cyfle i bobl ifanc ddatblygu sgiliau ar gyfer bywyd a gwaith.

Yn ein llygaid ni mae unrhyw beth yn bosibl, ac mae’r posibiliadau hynny’n ddiddiwedd. Mae effeithiau cadarnhaol y DofE yn amlwg ac yn cyrraedd amrywiaeth o bobl. Mae cymunedau’n cael eu cyfoethogi gan wirfoddolwyr ymroddgar a brwdfrydig. Mae busnesau’n gallu manteisio ar recriwtiaid medrus sy'n barod i weithio ac mae pobl ifanc yn cael yr hyder i lwyddo.

Rydym yn chwilio am unigolyn brwdfrydig, rhagweithiol sy’n barod i weithio’n effeithiol fel rhan o dîm i’n helpu ni i roi cyfle i fwy o bobl ifanc o bob cwr o Gymru gymryd rhan yn y DofE, yn enwedig y rheiny o gefndiroedd amrywiol a grwpiau ar yr ymylon.

Byddwch yn creu partneriaethau newydd gyda sefydliadau gwaith ieuenctid Statudol, Gwirfoddol a Chymunedol (CVS) ar hyd a lled Cymru, yn ogystal ag yn gyfrifol am reoli portffolio o bartneriaid presennol yng Ngheredigion.

Mae’r DofE wedi ei gydnabod gan Gomisiynydd y Gymraeg am ein cynnig cyfrwng Cymraeg ac anogir yn weithredol ceisiadau gan ymgeiswyr sy’n siarad Cymraeg. Disgwylir i ymgeiswyr nad ydynt yn siarad Cymraeg ddangos eu hymrwymiad i ddatblygu eu cymhwysedd yn y Gymraeg.

Byddwch yn gweithio gartref, ond bydd cyfuniad o ryngweithiadau wyneb yn wyneb a rhithiol, a chan fod y swydd yn gwasanaethu ledled Cymru bydd yn ofynnol i chi fod yn barod i deithio, ac aros dros nos ar rai achlysuron, weithiau yn ystod y penwythnos.

Er na fyddwch yn gweithio’n uniongyrchol gyda phobl ifanc, byddwch yn cael boddhad o wybod eich bod yn cael effaith gadarnhaol ar eu cyfleoedd.

Mae Gwobr DofE yn newid popeth. Gwyddom fod y dyfalbarhad a’r ymroddiad a roddir i dargedau tymor hir wedi'u cysylltu â llwyddiant mewn addysg, bywyd a gwaith. Mae ein rhaglen strwythuredig o heriau gwirfoddol, corfforol a seiliedig ar sgiliau yn ysbrydoli, yn arwain ac yn cefnogi pobl ifanc i gyflawni.

Isod, gweler swydd ddisgrifiad llawn.

Os ydych yn cael eich ysgogi gan y syniad o weithio ar gyfer y DofE, ac yn credu bod gennych y sgiliau a’r profiad delfrydol i lwyddo o fewn y swydd hon, byddai’n braf clywed gennych. Gofynnir i chi wneud cais ar-lein, a byddwch angen cwblhau datganiad addasrwydd ac ateb rhai cwestiynau’n ymwneud â gallu sy’n berthnasol i’r rôl. Hoffem i chi hefyd lwytho copi o’ch CV.

Rydym yn cynnig buddion rhagorol i staff, yn cynnwys cyfraniad pensiwn hael, oriau gwaith hyblyg a rhaglen cymorth i weithwyr.

Bydd gofyn i bob ymgeisydd sy’n llwyddiannus gwblhau gwiriad manwl ar gofnod troseddol (e.e. DBS/PVG neu gyffelyb).
