Since 2011, King David Primary School and King David High School have been located together in King David Campus at the heart of the Jewish community in Liverpool. Many of our central functions such as finance are provided to both schools by a dedicated central team.
Message from the Business Manager
Thank you for your interest in the role of Campus Finance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our central finance team, supporting the Campus Finance Manager. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of financial processes across both schools, ensuring accuracy of recording and reporting and who will make a positive contribution to promoting excellence in all we do. You will be working in an environment where we support all staff to be happy and successful.

**Campus Senior Finance Officer Job Description**

**JOB TITLE**:
Campus Senior Finance Officer

**SALARY/GRADE**:
PASS Level 6 (25,878-£28,370)

**WORKING TIME/TERMS**:
Full Time, 35 Hours per week. Holiday entitlement in line with Governors and Local Authority annual leave policy. Leave to be taken outside term time unless with the prior agreement of the Headteacher.

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
To take responsibility for the integrity of the schools’ finance systems: transactions, structure, controls, contracts and recharges in accordance with Financial Regulations and education requirements and to provide relevant reports and analysis to the Finance Manager.

**DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO**:
Finance Manager

**LIAISING WITH**:
Finance Manager/Business Manager and Headteachers

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To support and promote the Campus Jewish ethos and mission statement.
- To ensure a duty of care at all times to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students.
- To work within the Campus Health and Safety policy to ensure a safe working environment for all students, staff and visitors.
- To work within the Campus Equal Opportunities policies to promote equality of opportunities for all students and staff.
- To maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct and courteous, positive relations with students, parents, colleagues and visitors.
- To actively support and promote positive professional and curriculum links across the campus.
- To assist with campus activities involving pupils where appropriate and according to individual skills
- To actively engage with the performance management process and continue with personal and professional development.
- To adhere to Campus policies and procedures as set out in the staff handbook and other documentation available.

**MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**

**CORE**:

- Support the Finance Manager in the formulation and control of the schools’ budgets to ensure that there are sufficient funds in each category to meet the needs of the schools.
- Complete Personnel and Payroll documentation to ensure that all staff are paid correctly and on time.
- Reconcile income and expenditure in line with financial procedures to ensure that all monies are accounted for and that returns are completed correctly and returned by agreed deadlines.
- Negotiate and maintain service contracts to ensure that information is accurate and easily accessible.
- Maintain manual and computerised records to ensure that information is accurate and easily accessible.
- Ensure that all orders and invoices are processed correctly and on time so that any discrepancies can be dealt with before they cause problems thus saving the school unnecessary expense.
- Agree and arrange lettings to ensure that events to be held are suitable, that financial procedures are adhered to and overall lettings programme remains financially viable.
