Our client is an exciting high growth international SME with operations in the renewable energy sector.

They are in a strong financial position and are now looking to recruit a dynamic and hands on Head of Finance who will play a pivotal role in transforming the finance department and creating a solid platform for their future growth.

**Head of Finance - The Role**

As a hands-on Head of Finance, you will be required to get into the detail, whilst also being a confident communicator and have gravitas when presenting financial data.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide key leadership to the MD and other partners in terms of finance and accounting strategy, to optimise financial performance and strategic position;
- Oversight of the finances of the business including supervising production and analysis of monthly results and responsibility for tax, treasury, cash management etc;
- Ensure sound financial and commercial management, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management;
- Oversee client and fund financial reporting;
- Responsibility for HR, IT and Office Management;
- Oversee Company Secretarial, Governance and Investor Relations;
- Provide support to the legal team in reviewing commercial contracts;
- Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with key stakeholders including auditors, insurance brokers and HMRC;
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory financial compliance requirements are met;
- Oversee ad hoc finance projects.

**The Successful Applicant**

As Head of Finance, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who has experience of working in fast growth SMEs. Someone who is looking for their first move out of practice into industry will also be considered, as long as most of their clientshave been SMEs and they have had some Financial Services/ FCA regulations experience.

Ideally you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience of working in (or with) an international SME;
- Strong team management skills, ensuring you motivate, support and develop the finance team;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Strong commercial acumen;
- A pragmatic, self-motivated and proactive mindset;
- Financial Services or Investment Fund management experience desirable.
