**Logistics Co-ordinator**

**Up to £24,000 DOE**

**Permanent role, Dayshift Monday - Friday**

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Co-ordinator for a full-time permanent position with our client in Uddingston. Logistics experience would be of most interest, however we may possibly also be able to consider those with an excellent Customer Servicebackground who are now looking to pivot into something different now.

Supporting logistic operations, your main function will be to manage and control the outward-bound logistics operation. Processing any relevant paperwork on their ERP system and producing any carrier paperwork including delivery notes and export paperworksuch as commercial invoices.

Secondary responsibilities will include supporting both the customer service department and service department answering customer enquiries, informing customers of any delays in the delivery schedule and able to resolve any customer complaints.

**Experienced required**:

- Proven work experience as a logistician OR possibly someone with excellent Customer Service experience in a different area.
- Excellent people and communication skills, and capable of working on own initiative.
- The ability to be a forward thinker and to successfully manage a logistics operation for equipment installs in both commercial and domestic buildings.
- A clear understanding of required standards and processes and how to handle common obstructions with clear solutions. Ability to engage with staff to meet the changing needs of a challenging logistics operation.

**Specific responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles.
- Manage the returns process, liaising with the warehouse operation to ensure that all returns are processed through the system quickly and efficiently.
- Tracking the progress of all outward-bound shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Update customers of any delivery issues
- Plan and co-ordinate logistics operations liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers and export transport companies
- Manage and co-ordinate logistics including arranging transport, storage, delivery and arrange administration between suppliers and customers.
- Produce logistics schedules and reports, communicating updates and any concerns to relevant departments.
- Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and any associated transport costs.
- Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
- Update and report on delivery, inventory levels and dispatch requirements.
- Track shipments.
- Monitor carrier performance and handle performance issues.
- Assist with issuing of part requests to warehouse operation.

Circa salary for the position is up to £24,000 depending on experience, and the company if they achieve their yearly targets - which is normally the case - also pay their staff an **EXTRA MONTHS SALARY** once a year as well, meaning you would get paid a double payment in one month providing that the company have met their set objectives, which all of the staff are responsible for contributing towards.
