We have an opportunity for an Bookkeeping Assistant / Office Administrator within our busy office in Liverpool.
This is a varied role which will involve working within our administration department to ensure all bookkeeping and administration tasks are accurately completed daily, and to provide support to our hire and sales teams.
This position suits a highly organised individual who is capable of learning new processes and software quickly. An eye for detail and an ability to follow procedures closely and the ability to use your own initiative to solve queries is essential.
An understanding of bookkeeping tasks is essential. Training on our procedures and software will be given.
**Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following**:
- Daily bank postings / reconciliations
- Allocate / Reconcile / enter customer payments
- Credit control
- Resolve Customer Queries
- Process Credit Application Forms
- Process Supplier invoices
- Query purchase orders
- Timely handling of supplier invoice/stock queries
- Reconcile, query, file supplier statements
- Make payments to vendors for goods / services
- Compare foreign exchange rates, secure contracts and make international payments
- Reconciliation of all control accounts
- Cash book / Petty Cash transactions ensuring all cash is accounted for
- Bank cash and cheques
- Hire department courier bookings and administration
- Answering the phone and fielding calls to the relevant department, greeting customers in person
- Provide administration support to the sales department
- Assisting with ISO 9001 related systems: logging any issues, collecting monthly reports, updating staff records, updating approved supplier lists
- Ordering stationary and other business supplies including business cards and clothing
**The applicant will be able to meet the following expectations**:
- A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience is required
- We use Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions and experience of this accounting package is preferred but not essential.
- Proof of relevant qualifications
- Attention to Detail
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to work on a number of tasks and prioritise accordingly
- Flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to cope well in a pressurised environment
- Excellent administration skills & strong numeric ability
- Enthusiastic & highly motivated
Previous experience and qualifications required.
We will require references and evidence of qualifications
