Junior Buyer

Our client, a prestigious jewellers in the renowed Hatton Garden, are looking for a Junior buyer to join their team.

As a Junior Buyer you will work alongside the Head of Buying in sourcing and analysing

diamond data to maximise buying abilities, expanding our stock, and executing our buying

strategy.

As a Junior Buyer you will support the Buying Manager and contribute to departmental

strategy; prepare analysis for range plan and source, develop, and select diamonds in line

with the buying strategy. You will play an integral part in building and maintaining strong

and effective supplier relationships.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Review diamond buying platforms E.g. Rapaport and Rapnet
- Buying, sales and market analysis
- Analyse and report on internal data
- Create reports for the Head of Buying
- Support sales enquiries
- Support with stock replenishment
- Track monthly budget
- Update sales team on new stock
- Provide suppliers with all relevant documentation
- Responsible for requesting all relevant documentation pre-buying and post-buying

**Skills & Experience**:

- Advanced in Excel.
- Proven buying experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to
- Strong collaborative skills, working with other business functions to deliver results.
- Strong co-ordination and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- and targets.
- GIA or IGI qualified is ideal.
