Position Overview:
Working within an industry leading organisation at Finning, and the largest CAT dealership in the UK and Ireland, your role as yard operator will be to provide a service to all departments within the facility, supporting workshop engineers with servicing and repair duties, to preform equipment checks and carry out machine movements, crane lifts, mobile crane lifts, lift truck movements ensuring all carried are out in a safe manner.

**Job Description**:
Specific Skills:

- Essential -The individual will be expected to be self-motivated and self-managing

- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- A team player with good time management and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A dynamic self-starter with a positive and proactive attitude

Knowledge:

- Finning organisational awareness
- Machinery product knowledge
- Experienced in machine movement NPORS qualified experienced in loading and unloading of equipment (desirable)
- H&S policy awareness and commitment
- IOSH qualification (desirable)

Accountability:

- All machines are moved safely, efficiently and without damage
- Responsibility to ensure all lifting equipment is in a safe, operational state
- Accountability for general upkeep and tidiness of Tunstead facility
- Working areas are clean and free from debris
- Requests for machines / assistance are met
- Services to be carried in a timely manner
- In house training as required
- Flexibility to overtime and working hours

Education & Experience:

- A good knowledge of H&S
- A background in machine movements and control
- Excellent customer service experience
- Mobile crane operator
- Telehandler licence
- NPORS qualified
- Used to operating in a fast-paced area of the business
- Basic computer knowledge with Word & Excel
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Foundational level of Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous
