**RAF-3492 - DESPATCH COORDINATOR - UNITECH ENGINEERING**

Unitech is the leading supplier of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries. We have an excellent opportunity that has arisen to recruit a **Despatch Coordinator** to complement our existing team.

Please note the hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 07:15 a.m. - 16:00 p.m. and Friday 07:15 a.m. to 14:15 p.m.

**Role Overview**:
Reporting to the Deputy Despatch Manager and working closely with the Stores Department. Your role is to support the Deputy Despatch Manager. The role includes assisting in the day to day running of the Despatch area. Other duties involved within this role are outlined below:
**Main duties involved in the role are as follows**:

- Conduct pre-despatch inspections of all goods ready for despatch including quality, dimensional correctness, adequate packaging and that any fitting instructions are included with deliveries.
- Assist in final fitting and assembling of fabricated goods before they are despatched.
- Pre-order parts from stores to ensure that all parts required for final fitting, are available at the required time.
- Ensure that all goods off loaded into Despatch, are immediately identified and where necessary, sent to their appropriate area.
- Have a flexible approach with working during times of increased workload, this will include working from the Brownhills site as required.
- Ensure areas are kept clean and tidy and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Flexibility to work within other areas as required by the needs of the business.
- Assist working within the Polishing Department.
- Assist with wrapping of goods ready for despatch.
- Any other duties as required and within the skill set of this role.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience of working on a shop floor environment.
- Have the ability to work within a team or on your own.
- Be able to use your own initiative to solve problems.
- Possess a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to pay attention to detail in all tasks required.
- Possession of a forklift licence is a distinct advantage.
