**Role purpose**

With all major UK broadcasters and production companies more engaged with albert than ever before, this is an exciting time to be join the growing team to support efforts to drive change in the TV and film production industry.

The average tent pole film production produces 2,840 tonnes of carbon, equivalent in air miles terms to 11 one-way trips from the Earth to the moon.

This role will be critical in supporting albert’s efforts to better understand, report, avoid, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental impacts.

The post holder will administer processes, conduct desk research, and support data entry and extraction that that underpins all our work.

**The role**

Primarily you will support albert’s toolkit team to process carbon emissions data from TV/ film productions, support the ongoing maintenance and development of albert’s products and service, and provide administrative support to the Data Analyst and other members of the broader team.

With high attention to detail, you will enjoy immersing yourself in spreadsheets and have an obsession with accuracy. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to fit into a busy team.

**Who you’ll be**

The successful applicant will be highly numerate and naturally analytical, with a proactive, organised approach to prioritising and completing tasks. You will be confident diving into large data sets and will have strong administrative skills.

Over time you will be expected to develop a strong understanding of sustainability in the film and TV sector and become an expert in supporting productions to measure and reduce their carbon footprint.

**Key responsibilities**:
Support for albert’s toolkit team including desk-based research, the extraction/ preparation of data sets, and assistance in the preparation of written reports
Administrative tasks associated with the maintenance and development of albert’s carbon reduction toolkit (e.g. update of carbon factors into albert’s Green Carbon Calculator, review of recommended suppliers list etc.)
Supporting the day-to-day review and sense-check of carbon footprints submitted from productions
Handling tasks generated by queries from broadcasters and productions
Other roles in support wider projects across albert

**Ideally you will have**:
Great organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Strong numeracy skills and the ability to sense-check your own work

Confidence to enter and extract data using excel and an interest in learning how to prepare large data sets and run simple analysis

Self-motivation to complete and finish daily tasks
Ability to generate insights from analysis and present these in written form
Experience working as part of a team
An interest in carbon literacy and the motivation over time to build knowledge of carbon accounting and environmental management systems
An interest in film or television production
Ability to communicate complex ideas with good verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Software
