Description of role - Operations/Transport Planning

**Monday - Friday 08.00 - 17.00**
- Experience in using Intact computer system (desirable not mandatory)
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent Problem Solving Skills and Attention to Details
- Experience working with multiple departments and a fast-paced environment
- Be Customer Service focused and have a proven track record for Customer Excellence
- Positive and a can do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in Merchant, Logistic, Supply Chain Industry (desirable)
- General haulage or pallet network planning experience
- Groupage and load planning experience is highly desirable
- Previous experience within a fast paced transport planning position
- Experience of using system based planning tools
- Strong administrative skills
- Self-learner, the ability to continually learn, develop and adapt
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Competent decision making
- Good geographical knowledge- **Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Order Entry/Management with an excellence of Customer Service in mind
- Liaise with Customers, Suppliers, In-house Operations/Sales Team regarding transportation and delivery of all loads ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of latest information
- Good attention to detail on Price Control. Making sure customer are billed at the correct price and all prices increased and confirmed and applied
- Daily & Weekly Customer Invoicing and Batch Statements
- Provide customers and transport companies with correct and accurate paperwork, in a timely manner, to ensure smooth collections and deliveries.
- Receipt stock onto computer system ensuring all relevant costs are included and checking that the correct product and quantity are received, reporting any issues
- Carry out Weekly Cycle Stock Takes and reporting on Monthly Stock Figures
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of the company’s Quality Management System
- Liaising internally with Sales, Finance, Quality and Operations personnel and build and maintain efficient and effective working relationships with colleagues
- Route planning for full loads, groupage and pallet network loads
- Monitoring driver performance
- Liaise with the network of hauliers to obtain backloads
- Review driver routes and plan to maximise efficiency
- Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays
- Provide the communication link between customers and drivers
- Supervising and managing driver workloads
- Managing your driver’s daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours.
- To perform any other tasks which may be assigned by management from time to time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
