**Assistant Merchandiser - Concessions/Ecommerce**

**Purpose of the role**

The job role of an Ecom Assistant Merchandiser is to maximise sales and margin on our website, through the planning and implementation of the seasonal strategy. Working closely with the E-commerce team to trade effectively/identify opportunities for growth. Management and development of junior members of the team.

**Responsibilities**:
**Planning:

- **
- Support the Senior Merchandiser and the Head of Ecom in achieving the financial year KPI’s
- Support the Senior Merchandiser and the wider ecom team in the delivery of seasonal launches, providing recommendations based on intake/key stock packages.
- Create and maintain seasonal range plan. Identify opportunities/areas of growth for each category/department.
- Support the Senior Merchandiser in compiling the weekly trade packs, analysing product performance across all departments and making relevant recommendations in order to trade effectively.
- Participate in seasonal sign off meetings/range reviews, providing recommendations on options width/breath from an ecom perspective.
- Represent the ecom team in direct mail planning meetings, ensuring commercial requirements are covered.

- Review stock availability based on product performance, liaising with the branch merch team to ensure stock is available on the website.
- Working closely with ecom trading team to ensure product set up and assets are available to launch on time.
- Analysing product performance by category, putting forward recommendations for core merchandising improvements
- Analysing product performance by product, putting forward size recommendations for core merchandising improvements.
- Recommend promotional activity based on performance, provide analysis of clearance activity.
- Complete returns analysis by product/category, sharing findings with wider teams.
- Be pivotal link between the E-com team & Merchandising team, communicating any risks to trade & product launches.
- Understanding of Critical Path to ensure smooth product launches across the website.

**Key Skills and Experience**
- Essential -_
- Prior experience of working as an Assistant Merchandiser (at least 1 year)
- Able to present confidently to all levels within the business.
- Strong Excel & Powerpoint skillset.
- Can display sound commercial judgement and experienced in making profit related decisions.
- Has a flair for spotting opportunities whilst managing risk to stock, sales and profit.
- Ability to manage heavy workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Be flexible, enthusiastic, confident and proactive.

- Experienced in multi-channel retailing, preferably within Ecommerce/merchandising.
- Enjoy working in a small/medium sized company.
- Strong interest in fashion/retail industry.
