**Sewing Machine Supervisor**

**£34K Basic + Overtime + Excellent benefits**

The Sewing Machine Supervisor/Textile Repairs Supervisor will be responsible, but not limited to, the managing of stock and repairs of all têxtile and soft goods in stock

**Duties and Responsibilities for the Sewing Machine Supervisor/Textile Repairs Supervisor**:

- Managing all staff that work in the repair’s têxtiles team including training any temporary têxtile repair technicians on our repair procedures as needed.
- Encourage an ethos of continual improvement and development of the department.
- Using the repairs analysis report to understand the priorities of incoming repairs as well as working closely with the têxtile’s supervisor (at HQ) to understand shortages and upcoming requirements.
- Organizing staff’s daily tasks and managing workload within the area as well as supporting to create KPI’s for the department.
- Carrying out repairs as required on all forms of têxtile and soft goods in inventory using the machines and equipment provided in a safe and effective manner.
- Carrying out recycling and alterations to all forms of têxtile and soft goods in inventory.
- Using stock control system to check items out of repair with a resolution description once fixed.
- Using stock control system to update repair tickets with parts and labour required to repair an item as needed.
- Aiding the repairs administrator in pricing billable têxtile repairs as early and accurately as possible.
- Liaising with the Repairs and engineering Co-Ordinator or Warehouse Manager about retiring stock which is beyond economical repair.
- Liaising with the Repairs Administrator on ordering more repair fabrics when stocks are running low and pre-empt any future shortages.
- Work with the Repairs and engineering Co-Ordinator or Warehouse Manager to ensure all operations are risk assessed and control measures are being adhered to.
- Ensure the têxtile repairs area is always maintained to high standards as it kept well organised and clean whilst adhering to the companies Health and Safety standards.
- Demonstrating a positive approach to the company whilst reacting to the high demands of the business.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines whilst adhering to the priorities of the business.

**Experience/Skills required for the Sewing Machine Supervisor/Textile Repairs Supervisor**:

- Must be trained and experienced in the use of industry level sewing machinery.
- Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and offer support where required.
- To be able to work under pressure to changing deadlines.
- Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs.
- Must be willing to grow and adapt with the expanding company.
