**What you will do**:

- Provide legal and strategic advice to business partners, including senior level management and directors of the Global Shares Group;
- Review and negotiate legal contracts with corporate clients and external vendors contracts; draft and maintain share plan access and brokerage terms of business for Global Shares' 650,000 employee participants;
- Monitor relevant legislation and regulation affecting Global Shares. Engage with and support Compliance and Risk Management functions in analysing the requirements of new laws and regulations impacting the business;
- Develop and lead corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the business, integrate Global Shares into the wider J.P. Morgan group and support it in the delivery of group goals, strategies and priorities;
- Provide input to business on legal aspects of new product development and service delivery projects;
- Manage a team of lawyers and other members of the legal department;
- Oversee the development and management of relationships with external advisors;
- Work closely with colleagues in different locations in Europe and other regions, both business representatives and control functions such as Compliance and Risk Management, where required.

**What you should have**:

- Proven track record of providing accurate and effective legal counsel. Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical solutions. Excellent judgement and decision-making skills, in particular the ability to identify legal risk and direct both the business and external counsel to key issues.
- Experience in leading and managing a legal team.
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing financial institution products services and transactions. Demonstrated experience in MiFID, MAR, IFR/D, AMLD and GDPR would be an advantage.
- An understanding of the operation of employee share plans and trust structures would be an advantage but not essential.
- Effective communication skills with excellent negotiation and presentation skills and a consistent track record of securing and maintaining effective client relations, demonstrating strong influencing and partnerships skills.
