**Location**:Sage Gateshead, with some optional hybrid working in line with Sage Gateshead policy
**Working hours**:37.5 hours per week - some evening and weekend working may be required
**Salary**:SCP 23, £23,571 per annum

**About you**

**You must have proven experience of**:

- Two years (or more) working in marketing, ideally with some of this in the live music or arts and cultural sector.
- Knowledge of strategic marketing principles including:

- Audience profiles and how to work with them to inform marketing activity;
- Peer/competitor analysis and how to use such insight to inform marketing activity;
- The importance of external forces and how to identify potential threats, risks and opportunities to inform marketing activity;
- The structure of a brand, how it is developed, how it is communicated, and how it remains cohesive and representative of organisational ambition within its communication.
- Content marketing;
- Organic social media, including video and social content creation;
- Paid social media;
- PR;
- Direct Marketing (on and offline);
- PPC;
- Website administration;
- Design and print management.
- Campaign evaluation experience and an understanding of various evaluation methodologies;
- The ability to identify opportunities for cross and upsell beyond the defined remit to maximise overall impact;
- Excellent proof-reading skills;
- Experience of writing effective copy for marketing materials both online and offline;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work to deadlines;
- The ability to work in partnership with colleagues to achieve shared goals;
- Experience of working with external suppliers as part of campaign delivery to ensure excellent results;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;

**It also helps if you have**:

- A passion for, and knowledge of live music and the cultural sector
- Experience of working with Sage Gateshead’s marketing (and other) software platforms, including:

- Tessitura
- AgoraPulse (or other social media management platform)
- Artifax
- Adobe suite (or other design software)

**About the role of **Contemporary Marketing & Communications Coordinator** at** Sage Gateshead**

The role of Marketing & Communications Coordinator with the Contemporary team is a varied, enjoyable role that involves working closely with people across the organisation. It would be best suited for someone who can bring their creativity to marketing campaigns and is comfortable communicating with artists and programmers as well as audiences.

The post holder will work within the Contemporary, Creative Learning and Artist Development teams to coordinate marketing and communications activity and maintain a strategic approach to marketing and sales. They will contribute to and administer a rolling programme of campaigns, and they will provide effective support for senior colleagues.

These campaigns will aim to increase awareness of, and demand for, a broad range of performances, events and programmes - including our wide-ranging Creative Learning and Artist Development programmes. They will also work with the External Relations team on brand and communications activity.

The post holder will work with other team members to make sure that marketing activity across the organisation is joined up and collaborative.

**Your responsibilities**:
**Strategy and planning - **You will contribute to the strategy of all areas in the contemporary team, by helping to provide:

- Information on historical and projected sales information;
- Customer and audience data;
- Information about peer and competitor activity;
- ‘On the ground’ observations.

**Campaign development**

As the post holder, you’ll get to put together imaginative, targeted marketing campaigns. You’ll contribute ideas around messaging that support the brand and reaches the right people.

You will support programming and marketing colleagues to i
