**The Role**:
A Mental Health Support Worker is responsible for providing support and care of clients with mental and physical health needs. Mental Health Support Workers could also provide assistance to the client within a multidisciplinary setting when needed. Some of these tasks will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the current care plan for the specific client, ensuring we are promoting independence to all.

Due to the sensitivities of the job role, Mental Health Support Workers are trained to handle issues of diversity, rights and equality in line with good practice and in accordance to legislation. Mental Health Support Workers must promote positivity and be responsive to any issues or concerns raised, resolving them in the best way possible.

It is also a Mental Health Support Worker’s responsibility to provide clients with personal care, and demonstrate empathy, dignity, respect and compassion at all times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support people with personal care
- Assist with meal preparation
- Keep accurate daily records
- Promote health and safety
- Administer or support client with Medication (where required)
- Supporting clients with their day to day lives
- Observing and monitoring clients’ mental health conditions
- Recording clients’ temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight if necessary
- Sensitive communication with patients, their relatives and carers
- Assisting with clinical duties
- Ensuring client comfort, safety and dignity
- Promoting positive mental health with clients

Pay: £11.25-£12.00 per hour
