Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious special school specialising in Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs in Uckfield. The pupil community is diverse & spans KS3 to KS4, with mostly secondary pupils. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for these young people to re-engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities. The school boast an incredible education programme personalised for the students with a focus on creative arts & healthy living, along with vocational/work place skills & social/communication support.

**£72 - £80 per day (dependent on experience)**

**Requirements**:

- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
- Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
- Confident working with children & young people in SEN
- Resilience and a can-do, proactive attitude the young people can look up to
- Experience working with children & young people (desired)
- Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)

**Responsibilities**:

- Support class teacher
- Support the pupils
- Understand individual needs & adapt approach
