Yard Operative

**The role**
We are currently seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join our team. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the Yard Operative will play a key role in assisting with day-to-day tasks in the yard, such as tyre shredding and product loading, while ensuring adherence to health & safety and environmental compliance standards.
**Skills & experience**
- Strong team player with ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised.
- Positive attitude towards tasks and challenges.
- Trustworthy, flexible, and adaptable.

Licenses or Certifications:

- Desirable: Forklift license.

**Key accountabilities**
- Picking and packing orders.
- Operating machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the yard, including tyre shredding bay and loading area.
- Ensuring proper storage of finished products within permitted areas.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve production goals.
- Assisting in re-bagging damaged bags/pallets for dispatch.
- Providing feedback for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting product quality defects to the Yard Supervisor.
- Adhering to health, safety, and environmental guidelines and reporting any issues promptly.
- Undertaking additional responsibilities as required to support operation delivery.
