**Variable shifts between 07.00 and 18.00
As a Yard Person at SMT Volvo, you’ll play an important part in keeping our workshop, wash bay and fabrication shed clean, neat and tidy.

Carrying out responsibilities to a high standard, as a valued team member, you’ll have a flexible approach to a variety of duties. Whilst washing, valeting, and ensuring machines are ready for despatch, will be an important part of your role, you’ll also be:

- Booking in machines from the docks checking for damage or faults
- Loading machines onto low loaders for despatch
- Parking machines and maximizing yard space
- Communicating with departments and drivers about delivery schedules
- Booking in and controlling couriers in and out of the depot
- Ensuring records are accurately maintained

You’ll have a full UK driving licence, be health and safety conscious and have basic IT skills. Previous yard and valeting experience would be advantageous. An FLT or Loader licence is ideal however we can get you trained up.
