**Job summary**:
Companies House employs around 1,200 staff. The majority are based in our head office in Cardiff, but we also have a regional presence with offices in Belfast, Edinburgh, and London. We are an organisation going through significant change, with a change in the role of the organisation (the biggest change in 180 years) repositioning Companies House as a key player in the fight against economic crime as well as a programme to transform our systems and services.

**Job description**:
The Head of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team will lead our established HR Business Partner team through a critical phase for our organisation as we transform what we do and how we do it.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you are responsible for leading a team of HR professionals to ensure high standards of HR service is to our customers through this exciting period, underpinned by strategic people plans.

You be part of the HR Leadership team, working alongside senior colleagues in the People Transformation Directorate (all aspects of operational HR, Organisational Development and Design, Internal Communications and Estates), to provide people centric solutions to organisational challenges.

You will work with your team to raise capability and improve capacity through the development of a more efficient operating model, automating our services where possible. You will be influencing change and setting the strategic direction for the team, challenging assumptions, and making confident and evidence-based decisions.

**Responsibilities**:
Day to day leadership of the HRBP team ensuring organisational priorities are enabled from a people perspective

Reviewing the existing operating model of the HRBP function to maximise opportunities to automate and streamline processes, reducing unnecessary administration and focusing on where we are adding the greatest value

Working with colleagues in our People Data team to mainstream data led discussions which provide a feedback loop to strategic workforce planning

Facilitate a culture of information and knowledge sharing between HR teams to ensure joined up working

Prioritising workload across the team to meet organisational demands

Work with the HRBP team to identify development opportunities to support individual, team and functional capability

Present organisational challenges to the HR leadership team (and occasionally, the Executive Team) coupled with reasoned, evidenced based.

**You will need to be highly motivated and be able to demonstrate**:
Experience of being a HR leader

Experience in providing people centric solutions

Well-developed business and customer focus

Ability to work at pace and manage delivery of processes and products to tight deadlines

Ability to think strategically

You will be an influencer, able to communicate effectively and juggle a busy workload

In depth understanding of HR policies and processes

Be at least a Member of the CIPD

**Experience required**:

Experience of capability building

Experience of driving change through digital technology

Experience of using date and evidence to make decisions
