Each region has its own dedicated SARC (sexual assault referral centre) which offers support and practical help to anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault. Our services are co-funded by the Police and the NHS.

The nursing team are responsible for providing a dedicated 24/7 service for the forensic and acute health needs and requirements.

**As a Forensic Nurse Examiner, you'll receive full training and support.**

The nursing team are responsible for providing a dedicated 24/7 service for the forensic and acute requirements.

The shift times are 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am.

**The Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) will be responsible for**:
(Duties will include, but are not limited to)
- providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues
- undertaking Holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding
- use of a camera system to document injuries
- information sharing where appropriate
- producing individual management plans
- supporting the continued quality improvement of the service
- forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits

Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel will be a requirement of the role to locations across the county (including local hospitals).

**Essential Skills**:

- Registered General/Adult Nursing Qualification
- A minimum of 1+ year post qualification experience
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK Drivers Licence

**Desirable Skills**:

- Experience of working in a field related to sexual health
- Experience of supporting victims of sexual assault
