OBM have a fantastic opportunity available for a Marine Co-ordinator, working within the Operations department, of a busy Oil & Gas and Energy Service Provider in Aberdeen. This is a permanent position, working primarily on a 4 days on, 4 days off rota basis, however there may be a requirement to switch to Monday to Friday working as business needs dictate.

This role is required for the effective management of vessel schedules, ensuring timely vessel bulking operations are maintained to safeguard vessel turnaround times. Providing the necessary level of operational support, guidance and direction to ensure maximum focus on both marine, operational issues and marine safety performance.

Main Responsibilities include;
- Carrying out day to day scheduling of vessels to ensure operational efficiency is achieved
- Attending Customer planning meetings
- Liaising with client representatives\vessel masters\surveyors\bulk companies
- Arranging vessel turnarounds in third party ports
- Ensure efficient and timely turnaround for vessels
- Monitoring quality / arranging sampling of vessels fuel and pot water tanks
- Carry out marine out of hours cover
- Collating information for accounting purposes

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
- A proven track record within the marine industry, ideally within the oil and gas supply chain sector.
- Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
- Ability to work stand-alone while a positive contributor to the wider team
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Solutions based, motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Numeric and computer literate (AX/ILMS knowledge would be advantageous), with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent planning & organising skills.
- Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite.
- Ability to work as part of a Team.

Knowledge of WELS is desirable but not essential.
