Granary Worker - Sidlaw Grain Store

Simpsons Malt is a successful growth business and continues to invest significantly to meet its customers’ expectations in a sustainable manner. It has eight operational sites focussed on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

This position would be based on working a typical 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday out-with harvest, and a typical 12 hour day-shift or night-shift during harvest, to include Saturdays and some Sundays. There may also be some limited overtime required out-with the harvest period.

The harvest generally lasts about 8 weeks.

The position would be ideally suited to someone living locally.

Granary experience is preferred but full training is available.

Key Tasks:

- Operating driers, conveyors and elevators
- Driving loaders
- Forklift shunting
- Mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP)
- Filling and emptying sheds
- General granary duties
- General site cleanliness

Key Attributes:

- Team Player
- Self-motivated
- Good communication skills
- Granary experience (not essential as training will be given)
