**Overview**:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting one of our established and expanding businesses in the search for a Utilities Technician.
To work as part of the maintenance team to manage the maintenance and operations of the steam boilers, other gas appliances, air compressors, chillers, AHU, soft water treatment, RO plant & wastewater discharge facility on site. This is a Monday to Friday position,7am to 3.30pm.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out engineering maintenance service activities.
- Ensuring maximum operational effectiveness, through the introduction of new systems and procedures which will improve the reliability and energy efficiency of the site in line with current health & safety legislation.
- Be part of the ‘On Call’ rota to support boiler room operations.
- Daily monitoring and recording of all critical parameters.
- Energy monitoring.
- Carry out and other reasonable duties associated with the role or projects assigned to meet the overall objectives of the role.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Boiler Operations Accreditation Scheme (BOAS).
- Extensive experience of working with industrial steam boilers.
- Experience of organising planned maintenance of utility equipment across a diverse site.
- Up to date knowledge of required standards in compliance and safety.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to balance a varied workload and re-prioritise in response to changing business needs and unexpected engineering problems.
