Accounts Payable Clerk

**HR Star are proud to recruit for an Accounts Payable Clerk for our client who are a rapidly growing digital marketing agency based in Cheltenham with a workforce of 40.**
This role is a fantastic part time opportunity, and your main role will be to ensure all records are accurate and updated, as well as assisting the Finance Manager with the below:
- Paying contractors and freelancers
- Dealing with contractors and freelancers queries
- Posting purchase ledger invoices onto accounting software and Google docs
- Posting sales ledger receipts
- Sales ledger cash analysis
- Posting journals onto Xero
- Preparing VAT reports
- Preparing finance data for management reports
- The role may include any other ad-hoc duties given to you by the finance manager
Essential Skills and experience:
- Experience of working in accounts and finance team
- Good team working and communication skills
- Good time management and organisation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to understand how the detail fits into the wider picture
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; experience of Sage, QuickBooks and Xero would be useful
- Purchase ledger: 2 years (preferred)
- Accounts Payable: 2 years (preferred)
