We are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Maintenance Manager for this luxury 5* hotel based near Oban, Argyll & Bute, Scotland.
This truly stunning hotel has 16 bedrooms as well as offering self-contained accommodation with incredible views over the surrounding countryside and the neighboring Loch. Set in 350 acres of private land, the hotel houses a luxury spa, leisure facilities anda golf course.
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team as well as being hands on with maintenance around the hotel grounds. As the maintenance covers not only the hotel but the spa, golf course and grounds as well, it is preferable that youhave strong experience in all areas of maintenance and equipment.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues, team and guests as well as attention to detail and strong organization skills.
- Have experience as a Maintenance Manager within a Hotel environment (essential)
- Have experience in all aspects of maintenance that may be expected within a Hotel such as painting and decorating, carpentry, French polishing, activities generally expected of a Maintenance Assistant
- Be trained in use of equipment and hold licenses for (ie chainsaws, diggers etc)
- Qualification in plumbing or electricity will be an advantage (IOSH qualified is highly desirable)
- Be able to lead, manage and motivate a team as well as be hands on
- Have excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping abilities
- Have strong communication and organizational skills - able to prioritise accordingly
- Be flexible and willing with a positive, can do attitude
