**Job description**

This is an exciting new opportunity to join our Warning and Informing team to promote our flood warning service and community engagement across our North operations area of Wales.

The post holder will be working closely with other team members as well as our senior advisors to promote our flood warning services to communities identified at risk across the area.

You will need to have good communication and influencing skills to enable you to build good working relationships with out professional partners and customers to promote our flood warning service ensuring that they are better prepared for flooding.

You will be providing assistance to senior members of the team to manage duty officers procedures and systems used to carry out the role.

You will assist senior officers in the team with training and exercise planning for duty officers, and be involved in post flood event analysis processes.

This role is suited to a person who has good bilingual communication and influencing skills and able to quickly adjust to systems used to issue flood warnings and be passion to working with the environment in order to make a difference to the lives of people in the community.

**Knowledge and experience of the following**:
Graduate member of appropriate professional body (e.g. CIWEM, ICE or IRM).

Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of a wide range of flooding related issues e.g. data management, Flood Incident Management process including warning, informing and response by the public and professional partners.

Computer literate.

Ability to demonstrate acceptable communication, numeracy and computer literacy skills.

Experience of coaching/mentoring people.

Must have a full UK driving licence.
