- ASAPImproving the outcomes for people affected by cancer and haematological conditions in Lincolnshire remains a priority for acute services across the region, with a comprehensive strategy in place for continuous improvement that reflects local challenges.

Following expansion of the service in Boston, we are now looking for a **Consultant Haematologist** to join the department for clinical and laboratory haematology, which supports the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of haematological conditions (haemato-oncology, general haematology, and haemostasis/thrombosis) to BCSH Level 2a using state-of-the-art methodology.

In addition to General Haematology, we can accommodate consultants with special interests in:

- ** Haemostasis / Thrombosis**:

- ** Myeloma**:

- ** Lymphoma**

While the department is closely involved with the Cancer Services division, haemostasis specialists will also support the county’s haemophilia and (potentially) obstetrics services.

In terms of location, Lincolnshire scores highly when it comes to education from nursery through to secondary school and has a growing university culture.

Lincolnshire offers an attractive choice of pretty, rural villages or, for those who prefer urban living, there is a choice of the City of Lincoln (which has a rich history, dating back to pre-Roman origins) or the traditional market towns of Stamford, Grantham, Boston, Newark and Louth.

The property market offers high-quality housing at attractive prices, and an established construction industry offers competitive pricing to develop your own dream property. London is easily accessible via mainline train services from all surrounding areas. _Relocation support can be discussed_.

The job plan for this role encompasses 10 sessions per week, plus an additional 1 PA for on-call commitments, involving haematological care for both inpatients and outpatients as well as laboratory responsibilities. Additional duties will include the investigation and advice on the management of patients with haematological problems from other areas, such as paediatric and bone marrow biopsy services.

- Salary sacrifice schemes
- Car lease and sourcing schemes
