**Associate Director of Data Science**:
Data Idols are working with a global publishing company to recruit an Associate Director of Data Science. You will be responsible for developing a Data Science competency throughout the organisation that supports the growing library product space. As an Associate Director of Data Science, you will be working closely with the editorial and marketing teams to solve complex challenges and drive business growth.
**The Opportunity**:
Within this role as an Associate Director of Data science, you will be developing algorithms, building automated data tools, and providing data-driven recommendations. You will be responsible for directing a team of Data scientists who will help you by establishing and maintaining a framework for the full development cycle of machine learning models and data-driven tools that drive commercial impact in business areas like marketing, pricing, demand forecasting, and search engine optimisation.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Expertise distilling stakeholder requirements into problem definitions.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in developing and designing high-level functioning data science teams.
- Broad, deep technical knowledge and experience within the data science domain
- Excellent organisation, planning, leading, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in leading and developing teams focused on building statistical modelling, experimental set-up, data analysis, predictive model development, and deployment.
