Claims Customer Support Handler

Red Recruitment is recruiting resilient and proactive individuals to join our client as a Claims Customer Support Handler. Our client who has achieved the Top Employer status in the UK, is based in Gloucester but offers hybrid working. The salary is £22,000 per annum but increases to £23,500 per annum after 18 months. You will be communicating, supporting and negotiating with customers to help settle their claims.

- ** Hours**:Monday - Friday, hours between 8am - 8pm, and 1 in 3 Saturday's, 9am - 5pm

- 6 weeks training (Monday - Friday)

**Key Responsibilities of a Claims Customer Support Handler**:
- Contacting customers to offer help and assistance following a motor accident
- Liaising with third party suppliers to assist with speedy claims settlement
- Taking ownership of your claims, making appropriate commercial decisions to help control costs
- Providing a logical approach to problem solving
- Using empathy where appropriate to understand the diverse needs of the customer
**Key Skills and Experience of a Claims Customer Support Handler**:
- Should have a considerate and empathetic phone manner when reassuring customers
- Strong influencing and persuading skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload
- Being able to provide a high standard of customer service
- Previous experience in a customer services industry is advantageous
