We have three behaviors that are central to how we operate as a team and a business: we step up, we tune in and we’re a force for good.- The Team- We have an exciting opportunity for a Platform Consultant (Telephony) to join our Retail Distribution team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Head of Platform Consultancy.- The Role- Platform Consultants are platform agnostic, possessing a deep knowledge of all of the Aegon solutions, products and operational processes associated with the effective adoption of the platform.- They provide effective technical, training and consultancy support to Retail Sales through telephony engagement with targeted firms to successfully promote the adoption and integration of ARC / Aegon Platform / One Retirement. Identifying trends, opportunities and threats and diagnose training and support needs and implement agreed development plans ensuring all significant work is documented and auditable- Our Platform Consultants contribute to the achievement of AUA retention and growth targets through teamwork, prioritisation with work, collaboration and focused engagement with targeted firms.- Key responsibilities- Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Delivery of market leading platform consultancy services via telephone:- Engage via telephone with stakeholders within an aligned firms to build an understanding of requirements and business objectives and their plans for platform adoption/integration.
- Effectively implement agreed strategies and plans, ensuring that timescales are confirmed, and risks / opportunities highlighted.
- Use Management Information/Trends to identify where additional support would benefit the aligned firm and our business, with the aim of reducing errors and improving confident and efficient adoption of the platform and associated processes.
- Provide support to Asset Transition projects.
- Work closely with stakeholders to overcome challenges and barriers to trade on the platform.
- Seek firm feedback regarding implementation, ongoing training and support services and use this feedback to modify future behaviours and services.- Delivery of required activity to support the wider business:- Provide user insight into the platform proposition team to ensure it remains competitive and market leading.
- Support adhoc requests for platform presentations from Senior Management or Proposition
- Be a platform SME within Retail- Review:- Ensure that telephony services are continually reviewed and enhanced to ensure they are relevant for the target audience and being delivered via the most efficient and customer friendly mechanisms.- Risk / Compliance:- Track, understand and respond to market, regulatory and legislative change
- To deliver area risk and compliance objectives
- Undertake and pass SPAT and CBT’s as required
- Complete and log a minimum 15 hours of CPD for IDD- Skills-
- Planning & organising own workload in a systematic manner / high activity
- Effective communicator / well developed communication skills
- Negotiation, influencing & contracting skills
- High level of customer focus
- Ability to drive own performance and work to team objectives / own goals
- Decision making - showing ability to make appropriate decisions without always having to refer to Team Manager- Knowledge-
- Good knowledge of the Financial Services market
- A strong awareness of Aegon’s operating structure and key departments that impact on our centre’s effectiveness
- Ability to understand processes / procedures, to take services / promotions to market
- Ability to plan and organise and implement sales plans
- Strong understanding of back office systems and processes and integration solutions
