Governance Risk and Compliance Administrator

This role involves providing a high quality, patient focused and comprehensive administrative support service, guided by standard operating procedures.
The role will include diary management, recording minutes, data entry, maintaining electronic and paper based databases relating to the organisation of the administrative workload of the department. The department consists of Governance, Risk Management and Compliance. This post involves working and liaising with a multi-disciplinary team including clinicians, managers and other administrative staff in a professional manner in written, verbal and electronic formats.
The post involves being a team player, providing the department with effective and efficient administrative support, and to assist the department in maintaining its seamless delivery of services.
The Risk and Compliance team is a small friendly team. Its role is to support the Trust in implementing a risk management process across our hospital sites (including Basildon, Broomfield and Southend).

- Provide flexible support to the Head of Risk and Compliance and the Risk and Compliance managers in terms of Datix risk management software maintenance and administration
- To support the Risk and Compliance team with promoting risk management
- Accurately produce reports to support Trust activities as directed by the Risk and Compliance team within agreed timescales
- Support the team in maintaining risk logs and training records
- To undertake small scale projects or tasks under the direction of the Head of Risk and Compliance
- Attend meetings and, when required, record minutes
- Produce reports from Datix under supervision
- Assist with Datix system maintenance, user administration and data quality for all risks reported
- Provide administrative support for the roll out of training across the Trust.
- Undertake and complete monitoring tasks associated with Safety alert compliance and other administration.
- Complete various monthly rolling audits, including data collection, updating graphs and updating relevant reports.
- To be responsible for arranging meetings and acting as liaison point for all parties concerned, this to include arranging venues and necessary IT equipment/support.
- To co-ordinate the preparation and production of meeting paperwork, collating all necessary information and arranging for its distribution.
- Work within own competencies to assist the risk and compliance team and escalate issue appropriately to ensure urgent situations are addressed swiftly
