Streetworks Inspector

**Do you have a current valid NRSWRA Supervisor card?**

WorkwithYork, are seeking a confident, assertive and methodical Streetworks Inspector to inspect all aspects of public utility and highway authority approved work, including the co-ordination of all works carried out.

You will join a busy and hardworking team for up to 3 months, possibly longer in a full time temporary assignment.

The rate of pay for this role will be dependent upon experience.

**Main duties will include**:

- To inspect all aspects of utility work and co
- ordinate works carried out in the public highway to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Streetworks Act (1991) and the Traffic Management Act (2004), Highway Act (1980) CDM regs (2015) HASWA (1974) and associated codes of and guidance.
- Undertake section 74 monitoring and overrun charges.
- Raise Section 81 notices (duty to maintain apparatus in the highway) and to request any necessary remedial works.
- Responsible for gathering and collating evidence in relation to the enforcement of NRSWA, including the submission of evidence where necessary.

**Key skills**:

- Valid NRSWA Supervisor Card.
- ONC Civil Engineering or relevant experience.
- Have a strong level of knowledge/experience of the New
- Roads & Street Works Act 1991, the Highways Act 1980 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
- Good understanding of CDM regs 2015.
- Ability to assess the requested timescales for a wide range of utility work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Valid UK driving licence, as inspecting sites across York.
