Refrigeration Design Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Refrigeration Design Engineer to join a world leading, privately owned company who specialise in the design & manufacture of scientific instrumentation based in Cambridgeshire.

As a Refrigeration Design Engineer based in Cambridgeshire, you will work closely with their R&D team on the design, development, and testing of our range of refrigeration products, both current and next generation.

**My client have a 4 day working week - 32 hours**

The previous experience required for this role of Refrigeration Design Engineer
- Work on designing and developing brand new products related to the refrigeration, heating, cooling.
- Join an established team of Mechanical and Control Engineers.
- Guide the design aspects of refrigeration systems in various R&D projects
- Provide input to complete design work (mostly refrigeration but electrical/electronic as well)
- Experience of designing Refrigeration equipment, including capillary and expansion valve systems
- A good theoretical knowledge of refrigerant cycles
- Experience with refrigerant selection and an understanding of their relative merits and disadvantages
- An understanding of variable speed compressors and other advances in refrigeration technology
- Experience of selecting components, such as compressors, expansion valves, heat exchangers, etc.
