Our well-established client based in Swindon are looking for a Quality Technician/ Engineer to join their growing team

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Carry out daily shop floor inspections so that products at the various stages of production meet customer specification, if not ensure that corrective actions are robust using common quality tools such as 8D and 5 whys
- Inspection of medium, small and tight tolerance components, using a wide range of measuring equipment
- Work from component drawings and customer specifications to meet the highest possible quality
- Identify & raise internal and supplier Non-conformities and ensuring timely closure
- Support with the programming and running of Co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Carrying out In-process and focused welding audits on manufacturing areas
- Supporting internal and external calibration of measuring equipment.
- Good Inwards Inspection/measurement of fabricated and sub assembly parts
- Maintaining QA/Production control documents including in process control documentation
- Monitor supplier’s performance and assist the Buyer with approval ratings
- Assisting production and Finishing cell areas with queries, standards or other issues
- Have an engineering apprenticeship, turning, milling, or other mechanical or inspection experience
- Able to understand engineering technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge or experience of 3D CMM and model files would be especially desirable (Mitutoyo and Aberlink CM Machines are in use)
- Understanding of the programming and running of Co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) would be beneficial
- Engineered metallic components (turned / milled), Knowledge of ISO9001, AS/EN 9100 & an aerospace background
- Experience in Quality inspection & problem resolution and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment with CMM methods an advantage
- Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR completion (desirable)
