Morrow Contracts was founded nearly 40 years ago and is one of the most respected utilities and civil engineering companies in Northern Ireland.

Due to an ever expanding telecommunications division, we are actively recruiting and are currently looking for an experienced engineer, who will be responsible for job pack delegation, splicing & troubleshooting.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the job will involve the following:

- Prepare, splice and troubleshoot fibre optical cable
- Working in chambers and manholes, aerial plant, and customer premises
- Liaising with the cable supervisors to utilise traffic management & build objectives
- Review Splicing pack, check fibre layout compliance and confirm plan
- Attend weekly meetings with Manager to discuss, where applicable, where improvements can be made to improve quality and efficiency in the delivery process
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required

**About The Role**

**Skills and qualifications required**:
Proven experience of Fibre Planning or Fibre Splicing or similar role within a telecoms build environment

Experience with fibre optic fusion machines

Experience with Openreach, especially with Duct and Poling would be a benefit

Full valid driving licence

Proven understanding of Health and Safety regulations

Competent user of Microsoft Office Packages (outlook, excel & word)
