**Job purpose**

Once appointed, the new member of staff will be required to run a counter service of postal and banking transactions to the local community.

The role requires the ability to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification efficiently and with confidence

**Main Duties and responsibilities**

As part of the role as a counter clerk, you will be responsible for:
⦁ carrying our postal transactions;
⦁ carrying out bill payment services;
⦁ carrying out withdrawal and deposit banking transactions;
⦁ carrying out foreign currency transactions;
⦁ carrying out pre-opening and post-closure activities;
⦁ following the correct processes and procedures under Post Office guidelines;
You may be required to:
⦁ carry out retail transactions;
⦁ carry out National Lottery transactions

**Further information**

⦁ The role is customer facing and involves all aspects of services provided at a Post Office counter.
⦁ Only financial services will be provided at Axminster Banking Hub.
⦁ You’ll be provided with a uniform and full training is provided on-site.
⦁ We can offer flexible working days/patterns.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
