A great opportunity to join a growing business, Midgard forester is seeking a person to assist with rights of way cutting on behalf of Somerset County Council, as well as the prospective of upcoming further work with Forestry England and other environmental organisations.
The ideal person will have an interest in countryside management or forestry and have some experience in this line of work, however I would also consider somebody new to the industry. We can offer a good days' pay while gaining valuable experience in the industry.
There will be rights of way cutting for the county council as well as rights of way improvement works such as gate repairs and installs, fingerposts, boardwalks and bridges etc.
I can provide PPE and machinery as required,
Many of the jobs in the industry are too dangerous for lone working so I am after a reliable person who I can call upon to help grow the business and offer ad-hoc opportunities when they come up. This advert isn't for a full time employed role, however moving forward I would like to offer employment when the business has grown enough. I am also open to anyone seeking work experience opportunities and volunteering,
Please note the following dates for the row cut,
1st cut 27th - 10th May / June
2nd cut 15th - 29th June
3rd cut 12th - 26th August
