Our client based in Reading are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join them in a permanent position, based on skils and relevant experience the salary is between £35- £38.5k. You will need to be part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), have experience of CIS, VarianceAnalysis, experience of assisting with Budgeting and Forecasting, Month End Reporting.

Experience of dealing with Shared Service Centres would be very handy along with Payroll Knowledge.

Our client offer a Global Payroll solution to service over 70 multinational companies, ensuring that its employees can be paid in almost any location in the world via it's renowned global office network. The Assistant Accountant in the Global Payroll teamwill support the Finance Manager and Director to provide monthly finance reports out to the wider team, support the budgeting and reforecast cycle as well as ensuring the management of its third party suppliers.

The second part of the role is to support the Finance manager manage the monthly CIS returns, documenting and setting of client transitions.

The Global Payroll Finance Assistant will need to be proactive, able to problem solve, identifying, analysing, and documenting issues and driving resolution.

The role will also involve supporting more junior members of the finance team to ensure the timely preparation of:

- 3rd party payroll providers invoices and updating of project trackers
- Monthly variance report production
- Monthly client billing
- Assisting with budget and reforecasts

In addition you will work with the Finance Manager to ensure
- Monthly variance reports are accurate and have a complete description
- Monthly provisions are accurate for each client
- Reconciliations of accruals are completed monthly
- 4R reviews are completed for underperforming clients working alongside the service delivery and implementation teams to develop an improvement plan
- Budgets and reforecasts are completed on time and are accurate

As part-time support to the CIS compliance manager, you will be expected to support and assist with CIS department internal procedures and control. The role covers, but is not limited to:

- Assist with client transition and setting up the client on the local system
- Assist with escalation and support the shared service centre team (SSC) with technical queries
- Document queried changes to the operating procedures and keep them up to date
- Support with the process of the tax reports reviews

You'll be someone with:

- Excel Intermediate level
- High level of accuracy, ability to work independently and to strict deadlines
- 5 years experience working in a finance department
- Willingness to learn and a brilliant attitude to work
- A commercial mindset with an inquisitive approach
- Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) tax returns preparation (preferable, but not essential)
- Attention to detail when dealing with high volumes of data
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
