**Purpose**:

- To provide an effective professional business focused HR Service advising and assisting managers to achieve business objectives and making sure best practice with regards to HR policies and processes.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support the HR Manager and HRBP with administration tasks.
- Managing the administration of new starters and leavers in regard to HR files and paperwork.
- Record individual absences.
- Input new starter details onto Payroll.
- Produce absence reports and any other related information and forward to the relevant line manager.
- Producing references for ex-employees and request references for new starters.
- Manager pool/hire car bookings
- Book and manage travel and accommodation
- Attend meetings and type up notes from consultation, grievance, investigation and disciplinary meetings.
- Produce general documentation (presentations, reports and letters) for the HR Team.
- Assist with planning training as required.
- Produce contracts and letters, new starter forms, filing new starter folders, references and medicals.
- Scanning, photocopying and filing.
- Log, chase, compile and monitor appraisal submissions.
- Support with the probationary review process.
- Arrange SLT meetings

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English.
- Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Excellent computer skills in particular Excel and other MS Office packages.
- Accurate and pays attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Tact and discretion, when dealing with confidential information.
- Planning and organising skills.
- Building relationships.
- Self-management.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
