Brewer

**Job Summary**

LA Brewery is a fast-growing and innovative kombucha brewery based in Suffolk. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join production team as an kombucha brewing operative.

As a brewing operative at LA Brewery, you will perform various brewing, packaging, cleaning and maintenance tasks, and otherwise providing support to the production team as directed. Working to the head brewer, you will be fully involved in all stages of the production process. You will be a mechanically minded, active and practical person that enjoys working within a small team. You will be proactive and will be fully committed to producing highest quality kombucha.

This opportunity would be ideal for someone with commercial brewing or fermented food/beverage production experience.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assisting the head brewer with kombucha fermentation, filtration and flavouring tasks, ensuring all production processes are recorded correctly.
- Keeping production areas clean and functional at all times.
- Completing cleaning & maintenance tasks.
- Following inventory management procedures for all raw materials.
- Completing quality checks (temperature, pH, Brix, carbonation levels) at various stages of production.
- Assisting with the preparation, packing and dispatch of orders.
- Transporting raw materials and finished products between production sites.
- Adhering to company health and safety procedures and conforming to a ‘safety-first’ working culture

**Desirable skills and qualifications**:
A passion for and understanding of the fermentation process.

Experience in food/beverage manufacturing.

Experience in brewing/beverage production.

Awareness and qualifications in HACCP.

Awareness and qualifications in food safety and allergen control.

Full driving license.

Fork lift truck license.

**Rate of pay - negotiable, dependant on skills and experience.**

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3-6 months

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
