**How you'll make a difference**:
As a Technical Support officer, you’ll be working in the Community Safety Team, providing a range of administrative and technical support to the CCTV Officer in the delivery of a wide range of projects and initiatives to tackle community safety priorities.

You will have the opportunity to be involved with the day-to-day operation and management of the Councils CCTV systems across a range of services, including town centre CCTV, deployable and body worn cameras. Working with key partners such as Avon and Somerset Constabulary to help tackle crime and helping vulnerable residents and communities to stay safe across South Gloucestershire.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will act as a main point of contact for the service area, providing effective communication when dealing with enquiries and information requests.
- You will have responsibility for collating and maintaining records and analysing information and confidential records, ensuring compliance with data protection and the relevant legislation.
- You will assist the CCTV Officer in the monitoring and maintaining of budgets/financial information and resources.
- As part of your role, you will arrange and administer meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including taking minutes and maintaining accurate records of contract review meetings.
- You will provide support to the CCTV Officer in the planning and co-ordination of commissioning new service provision for the supply and monitoring of CCTV.

**What we need from you**:

- You will hold a minimum qualification of 3 grade C’s at GCSE (or equivalent qualification) including English and Maths, or you will hold equivalent relevant experience in administering confidential records and databases.
- You will demonstrate practical skills and experience in using a range of IT packages with experience in using databases, including running standard reports, analysing data and presenting findings.
- You will demonstrate some awareness of CCTV regulations and Codes of Practice.

This post is offered as a limited term contract for a period of 12 months
