**The Planning Support Officer role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Support Officer to join our Service Control Unit us on a fixed term basis. As part of this varied role, you'll schedule and dispatch work electronically so that our Construction staffing resource is used as efficiently as possible, ensuring that that the Service Control Unit are providing an efficient, economic, and high-quality service to all clients.

Your role is to ensure that all works involving Building Safety are correctly prioritised, planned and monitored so that compliance remains at 100%. You'll also will work closely with the Planning Manager on continuous improvement throughout Construction Services while providing customer excellence in all aspects of the delivery of the service.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Planning Support Officer**:

- Electronically schedule work to Operatives, liaise with Operational Managers and Operatives to reschedule work in an efficient manner
- Contribute to the development & implementation of new & innovative ways of working in all aspects of Construction Services with the objective of increasing effectiveness, efficiency & eliminating waste
- Ensure that all works of a compliance and health and safety nature are scheduled, prioritised, and tracked
- Respond to calls and enquiries directly from customers and partners; analyse information and liaise with staff members to resolve queries and signpost where relevant
- Administer the scheduling and re-scheduling of cyclical orders including sending communications to customers
- Liaise with the Contact Centre and other Colleagues to ensure emergency repairs are completed within timescales

**What we’re looking for in our Planning Support Officer**:

- 4 GCSE’s (Grade A - C) or equivalent qualification and / or extensive experience in a similar role
- Experience of working in a Repairs Service / Planning environment
- Experience of working within a customer focussed service delivery organisation
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service
- Ability to travel as necessary and work agilely to meet the needs of the post
- Ability to work flexible/unsocial hours to meet the needs of the service
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to engage with colleagues and customers
