Our client is an established and ambitious provider of IT managed services who provide services including IT Support, connectivity, and communications in an easy to consume integrated solution to over 2,000 sites across the UK.

From their support centre in Hitchin, they deliver a high quality 24/7 service to users and serve some of the largest commercial property managers in the UK.

What you’ll be doing

As the Pre-sales Lead you will develop a deep understanding about the customer business/technical needs that will be used to provide technical support solutions tailored to their needs and challenges.

You will provide pre-sales support to the sales team while working closely with operational and technical departments to convert sales opportunities to sales revenue.

Helping clearly define business problems and improving the overall customer experience via best practices and technical recommendations that will optimize their return of investment.

Role Responsibilities
- Be the technical point of contact for customer requirements. Assist and collaborate in their day-to-day challenges by delivering innovative and scalable solutions and defining business problems.
- Support the customer to translate business requirements to technical solutions by building knowledge and understanding of the possibilities presented by different platforms.
- Work with the Sales team to identify next steps for opportunities within each customer account.
- Bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- To act as the technical liaison between the Sales Team and Operational departments; escalating design, documentation and solutions activities to the relevant department as required.
- To play a key role in tender processes, co-ordinating the technical solution by utilising resources in the wider technology team to fulfil
- Providing technical input to sales proposals by detailing technical solutions, how these align to customer key business requirements and the benefits they provide
- Ownership of the Statement of Works documents from creation through to customer approval.
- Ownership of the Bill of Materials documents from creation through to quotation.
- Actively participate in account planning and strategy sessions, both internally and with the customer.
- Own, develop and ensure compliance with the pre-sales processes.
- Assist in building of standard service templates and offering, related bill of materials, proposals and scope of works.
- Working alongside the Internal Account Managers and Sales Administrators to deliver a first-class customer experience

What we need from you
- Experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, etc.
- Good organization skills and ability to multi-task across various responsibilities, stakeholders, and topics; exceptional attention to details
- Exceptional listening, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel around the UK to attend customer sites and meetings as required
- Ability to accurately attend customer sites, conduct pre-sales surveys and relay the information back to the wider Sales and Operational departments.
- External enterprise customer-facing experience as a technical lead with a solid understanding of how various systems interact with each other
- External customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to both technical audiences (for example IT Managers) and non-technical audiences (CEO, Finance Directors)
