Specialist Cleaner

A permanent role has become available for a **Specialist Cleaner** to join the existing specialist cleaning team here at **Torbay Pharmaceuticals (part of the NHS) **for _20 hours per week_, Monday to Friday
- **This role is generally set hours which is Monday to Friday 4pm-8pm although some flexibility will be required**_

You will be required to clean within the sterile manufacturing departments which will involve "gowning up" so you will need to be prepared to wear full PPE and work in confined areas,

You will also need to be able to carry out various Moving & Manual Handling activities which will include moving sterile machinery for cleaning, mop ceilings, walls and floors, carry stock for replenishment and using industrial cleaning machinery.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**
Key Duties of the post holder will include.
- To assist the manufacturing operators in the cleaning of specialist manufacturing equipment/areas.
- To understand the requirements regarding specialised cleaning products
- Be able to work within a cleanroom environment gowned in enclosed clothing to minimise contamination

Essential criteria

- Knowledge of general cleaning methods

Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of infection control/ colour coding

- Good general education

- NVQ qualification in relevant field
