Analytical Chemist

CK Group is recruiting for an Analytical Chemist based in Leamington Spa on a full time permanent role for a competitive starting salary of £30,000 per annum.
**The Company**:
Our client is a leading recycling specialist company offering their service to polymer industries
**Location**:
The site is based in Leamington Spa and is commutable from Northampton, Lutterworth, Rushden, Rugby, Coventry and Birmingham.
**Your duties and responsibilities will involve**:

- Be a key part of the technical team to support operations and oversee QC and technical functions for recycled material
- Help build and specify and run a state of the art analytical laboratory
- Utilise GC-MS and other analytical data to identify, and quantify contaminants and determine safe levels based on published and generated data - develop methods and train operators
- Provide technical guidance of process adjustments and improvements
- Support ground-breaking research into recycled materials

**Your Background**:

- Educated to a minimum of BSc level in Chemistry (or related discipline) and with industrial experience using gas chromatography
- Comprehensive knowledge of analytical techniques especially GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC or ion chromatography
- Experience of regulatory compliance and standards
- Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment - desirable
