Robertson Bell are pleased to once again be working with this social-welfare charity in their search for a Payroll Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Payroll, you will act as the deputy for the department, frommentoring the Payroll Officers, to assisting on several key projects in the interest of enhancing working efficiencies.

**The key duties of this Payroll Team Leader role are as follows**:

- Take the lead in the processing of the monthly payroll, checking all of the reports and obtaining all of the correct authorisations prior to payment.
- Play a critical role in the development and establishment of more fit-for-purpose payroll processes, writing new procedures and assisting in the payroll system implementation.
- Support the Head of Payroll in the production of the monthly payroll, including chasing up outstanding timesheets and managing expenses.
- Provide guidance and support to the Payroll Officers, answering their queries and giving them opportunities to develop professionally.
- Act as the key point of escalation for any complex queries.

This Payroll Team Leader role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is keen to put their own stamp on a role and play a vital part in the design and establishment of new payroll processes following an exciting period of changethat the charity has recently experienced. Furthermore, the charity are currently operating on a hybrid working model, so although officially based in their head offices just outside of Leeds, opportunities to work from home will be on offer.
- Achieved their CIPP Qualification or be an active studier.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing end-to-end payroll of a significant size.
- Demonstrable experience of setting up new processes or delivering process improvements.
- Brilliant communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
