**Azure Lead Solution Architect**

The role of the Lead Solutions Architect is a key enabler to this transformation. The role will lead the

technical design and delivery of large sized customer facing projects and work in partnership with senior

business stakeholders across business to manage projects through the full lifecycle.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- The management of and successful execution of large, high-profile technology projects that span across multiple business units and areas often exceeding over £1m in budget
- Working in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders within the business to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of project outcomes
- Leading complex cross-functional change into the organisation through project, programme and change management
- Scope / define customer solutions, matching business outcomes to technical solutions
- Collaborating with technical resources to run customer design workshops
- Create and document Azure HLD/LDD
- Design & build Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions
- Working with engineers to deploy Infrastructure as Code through ARM Templates/ Terraform.
- Developing high performing project teams with good knowledge management
- Establishing and sustaining an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across their projects
- Ensuring realistic and accurate estimates of costs, timescales, quality and resource requirements
- Managing the customer's customers in migrating them to the new platform

**Qualifications**:

- Significant experience in managing complex Cloud-based development projects, ideally in Microsoft Azure
- Highly experienced in Cloud networking principles and related Azure components (VPN / ExpressRoute, VNet topology, Azure Firewall, NSGs etc.)
- Demonstrable experience designing Azure based solutions spanning Apps, Data Architecture, Power Platform, IoT, AI and Power Apps
- Scoping requirements and designing solutions in-line with Azure based reference architectures
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, catering to technical and non-technical audiences
- Analysis & adoption of different databases as per the needs of the project
- High Availability considerations (e.g. Availability Sets, Availability Zones, Replication, Load Balancing etc.)
- Excellent documentation skills, including the execution & completion of technical assessment activity including:

- Workload analysis and suitability / dependency mapping of Azure resource types
- Network design and recommendations (topology, performance, availability, security)
- Security analysis and recommendations (identity, vulnerabilities, hardening, design principles, monitoring)
- Risk assessment / service validation & testing
- Experience of project or programme management within a comparable organisation or via a consulting firm
- Expert knowledge and experience of relevant project management methodologies, development life cycles e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Continuous Improvement.
- Experience of implementing projects within multi-million-pound transformational programmes in latest technologies e.g., Azure, SQL Server, IoT, Networking, Security
- Experience in managing 3rd party vendors and working with outsource partners
- Experience with Agile tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence) or Azure DevOps
- Strong communication skills to manage teams (including offshore), stakeholders at the appropriate level and build effective working relationships to enable technical discussions with product owners to articulate design solutions or reconfirm requirements

**Desirable**
- Relevant industry certifications (Azure Administrator Associate at a minimum, Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred)
